Many people don’t understand that group of stubborn children. They can’t even understand why they like that silly anime so much, because in their eyes, it’s just boring graffiti. So they laughed at the childishness of those children and their inability to grow up.

I like anime, so I think I can understand those kids who like anime as much as me. We like animation because animation is not as cruel as reality. At least, it can carry the emotions that those who think they have grown up cannot afford, and it can freeze those things we have promised together forever. But reality cannot.
Maybe someone will laugh at us for escaping reality, and tell us that even if we are escaping now, we must face it sooner or later. Escape is the choice of the weak.

In fact, we have never escaped. We have always been in a world that you can’t understand, seeing reality more clearly. Don’t think that we only watch anime, and don’t think that we are just a group of naive children. There are some things that we just know ourselves and don’t want to say them out. And those who are good to us, we know that you are good to us, and we have never forgotten it. As for those who treat us badly, I also hope you know that we never remember your bad treatment to us. In our memory, you are still your best self. Children who love animation are actually pretending to be too sad. Even in the real world, we love to laugh and act like we don’t care about anything. We will bring our disguised happiness to everyone around us and make them laugh with our childishness. Everything is true and false. We never let others see our sadness. Even if you are my best friend, I will not tell you because we don’t want you to feel sad for us. I give you happiness, but sadness, I just want to experience it alone.
Even if we say this, we are children after all. Sometimes, we really hope that there is someone who can understand us, understand our naivety in your eyes, and believe in us and believe in your importance in our hearts.
I don’t know, do you know that we like anime so much because we can find in anime some of the most real emotions in the human world that are gradually disappearing in reality. You may also be able to guess that children who like anime must have experienced something in real life, yes, at least that’s the case for me. We have lost a lot in the real world, but we are unwilling to admit it. We have thrown all our remaining fantasies to animation, built our own world there, and regarded everything experienced by the characters in those animations as our own memories. Looking at others, it is also our own story. We imagine that those movies used to have the most beautiful endings like anime.

Sad, we can only hide in the walls built by animation and not let reality make us too sad. We watch anime crazily, hoping that those happy endings will make us get rid of our sadness, but in the end, it just increases the infinite longing for the past in the air.
Animation carries us too much laughter and too much sadness. Sometimes, I really hope that those anime will never end and continue to be updated, so that at least when we are sad, we can still have a place to express our youthful sadness.
